Leo Moraes

Leo Moraes is a Brazilian guitarist, composer, and music producer with a multifaceted career in the cultural scene. As an artist, he has released five albums, both with bands and as a solo artist, and has produced dozens of records for artists from Minas Gerais. In 2021, he expanded his creative work into literature with the release of Elã, a book of chronicles. He is the founder and co-owner of A Autêntica, a renowned live music venue in Belo Horizonte dedicated to contemporary original music, which has gained national and international recognition with a capacity of 1,200 people. Since 2024, he has been based in Los Angeles, where he works with the acclaimed label and production company Jazz Is Dead, founded by producers Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad. In this role, he contributes to the production of albums and tours for iconic artists such as Marcos Valle, Joyce, Azymuth, and Ebo Taylor, and is also responsible for writing the newsletters for Jazz Is Dead, ArtDontSleep, and Linear Labs.
