Sikivu Hutchinson is the author of Humanists in the Hood: Unapologetically Black, Feminist and Heretical and the novel and play White Nights, Black Paradise on Black women, Peoples Temple and Jonestown. She is also the founder of the Women’s Leadership Project, A Black feminist mentoring and advocacy program for Black girls, girls of color and queer youth based in South L.A. Her sex trafficking prevention education film short Alpha Centauri debuted this year and she will be giving a book talk on Humanists in the Hood on May 31st at Lore Bookstore in Leimert Park, Los Angeles.
