Standing Rock
Paul Lojeski: Once more, the living dead have risen to steal the beaten, bloody land, to plunder history, to despoil the one true mother for coins and capital, for power’s poisoned love.
Once more, the living dead
have risen to steal the beaten,
bloody land, to plunder history,
to despoil the one true mother
for coins and capital, for power’s
poisoned love. So, yet again,
tribes have gathered as ancestors
had when the criminals first
came to murder and plunder,
to stand against the storm,
to dam the river greed.
Cursed, taunted, arrested,
pounded down, as always,
they fall, but fight on against
the fist of a heartless idea,
that private property and profit
shall rule this earth unimpeded
until the last ray of sun shall shine.
Paul Lojeski
